I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
